The donation reflects our company’s long-term dedication to strengthening public institutions that provide vital services to citizens. The new portable ultrasound will enable faster and more accurate diagnostics, more efficient procedures, and safer handling of animals, directly contributing to improved veterinary services throughout the Vareš area.

Preservation of ancient harvesting history through the establishment of the Museum of Gold in the Municipality of Krumovgrad.
Investments in the preservation of local cultural and historical memory.
The ceremony also celebrated the campaign's history, which was sparked 15 years ago by the discovery of St. John the Baptist's relics. The event was organized by the Cultural Heritage Society (Bulgarian representative of Europe Nostra) in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and other institutions.

Record Success at The Cedar Foundation Charity Ball
The Cedar Foundation's 20th Annual Charity Ball achieved a record fundraising success, collecting 300,000 BGN to benefit disadvantaged children and young people.
The highly successful event was realized with key support from "DPM Metals."
The total amount raised will be strategically invested to provide direct care for three vulnerable groups:
Children living separated from their families.
Children and young people with intellectual disabilities who lack alternatives to family life.
Young people with severe intellectual and physical disabilities.
DPM Metals Sparks Student Interest at Career Days Forum
The "DPM Metals" team successfully participated in the 19th edition of the Career Days Forum hosted by the Technical University – Sofia, attracting significant interest from students.
Represented by colleagues from Human Resources and technical departments (including expertise in Cybersecurity and Electro/KIP), the main goal was to showcase professional opportunities, vacant positions, and the summer internship program at DPM Metals' operations in Chelopech and Krumovgrad.
The DPM Metals booth was particularly popular among students interested in Cyber Security, Automation, and Electrical Furnishing. Visitors learned about the company's innovative technologies, digitalization efforts, and commitment to modern, safe work practices in the mining industry.
This participation reinforces DPM Metals' consistent policy of investing in young talent and promoting their professional development.

Mining and Biodiversity Coexist: DPM Krumovgrad Protects 2,800+ Turtles
DPM Krumovgrad and its team of partner ecologists have been successfully demonstrating that mining activity and biodiversity can coexist by protecting the well-known turtle population in the Eastern Rhodopes region of Bulgaria.
As part of this crucial, long-term conservation project (spanning over 10 years), more than 2,800 protected turtles (specifically the spike-thigh and spike-tailed species) have been assessed for their health, carefully marked, and recorded in a comprehensive database.
This commitment to the native species and their habitats near Krumovgrad serves as a successful model for the industry globally.
DPM Chelopech Celebrates World Internet Day with Global Mining First
On World Internet Day (October 29th), DPM Metals highlighted a remarkable fact: the Chelopech mine is the only mine globally with 100% Wi-Fi coverage underground.
This complete subterranean connectivity is crucial to the mine's digitalization strategy, enabling real-time process monitoring—a capability typically only seen in open mines. This level of digitalization ensures work is highly efficient and positions DPM Chelopech and DPM Krumovgrad as exemplary "digital mines" on the global stage.
The company shared this achievement in observance of the day chosen to commemorate the sending of the first message on the ARPAnet network in 1969.
Environmental Department Plants 800 Spruce Seedlings Near Mir Village in Bosnia to Boost Biodiversity and Ecological Stability
The Environmental Department successfully planted 800 spruce (Picea abies) seedlings near the village of Mir in Bosnia last Friday. This initiative contributes to restoring forest resources, preserving local biodiversity, and strengthening the area's ecological stability. It is a key measure within the Biodiversity Action Plan and serves as a concrete ecological compensation for the impacts of the Vareš operations. Planting the spruce offers long-term benefits, including soil conservation, microclimate improvement, and creating new wildlife habitats. The Department extended thanks to all participants and affirmed its commitment to responsible environmental management and sustainable community development.
We are applying the extensive learnings and successful practices in biodiversity monitoring and management developed at Ada Tepe at our Loma Larga development project in Ecuador. The protection and maintenance of biodiversity is a key priority for the project.
We have established a large agroforestry nursery center in Ecuador, “Las Quinoas”, with the vision of creating an experimental hub for environmental research. Located in the San Gerardo parish, the property was once damaged by a forest fire, but now boasts a production capacity of over 100,000 plants. These plants are intended to be used for reforestation purposes following closure of the mine. In addition, we donate a significant number of plants to reforest areas affected by fires and engage in various research projects with educational institutions including the Faculty of Agronomy at the University of Cuenca and the School of Biology at the University of Azuay.
